International Plywood B.V.

International Plywood commenced business in 1985 with a view to import and distribute a broad range of wood-based panel products, including OSB, MDF, boards and plywood. From its inception, the business collaborated closely with Finnish plywood industries, resulting in a strong and ongoing focus on sales and marketing of Finnish specialty products such a numerous variety of film-coated birch plywood. This knowledge allowed us to expand our product range with many other special plywood products, sourced worldwide from reputable manufacturers. A broad range of products allowed International Plywood to establish an outstanding reputation.

Bulk Products

International Plywood also acquired a strong position through bulk products. Although Plywood constitutes ninety percent of our product range, we also provide other sheet materials such as OSB, MDF, hardboard and particle board/chipboard. Wholesale Supplier Although our turnover came predominantly from plywood-consuming industries originally, International Plywood increasingly grew to fulfil a key role as wholesaler to timber and construction trades. Currently, more than half of our volume [m3] is shipped accordingly to our customers.

Growth

The company moved in 1991 to a new location in Nieuwland, Zuid Holland. Expansion followed shortly after, resulting in 5,000 square meters of well insulated warehouse space and 600 square meters of office space. Automation allowed for further growth since 2000. We welcomed our Russian colleagues among our now 30-strong staff following expansion of our trade with Russia. In 2004 International Plywood became represented by agents in France and Germany, increasing our revenues in each country. Over the last five years, overall revenue grew with 70%, positioning International Plywood among three of Holland’s largest importers of plywood.
